A touch of Chinese wedding tradition...
四点金 (Si Dian Jin) ~ Love, Commitment, Devotion, Trust
In the old days, when matchmaking and arranged marriages were a way of life in China, the bride and groom were not allowed to meet each other until the wedding night.
So, to show his sincerity, the groom would send a gift of four gold items to his bride-to-be 14 days before the wedding.
The gift consisted of a necklace, a bangle, a pair of earrings and a ring, also known as 四点金 (Si Dian Jin).
Our family celebrated the 44th National Day together and we bought the traditional wedding jewellery for my bride-to-be. Everyone's joyous and excited about our upcoming wedding. =) =)
